Smelling notes by Charlie H
The spine crackles when it opens because it’s taped up (this book is well-travelled). The pages smell old which is weird because the book isn’t that old, but I can also get a faint whiff of sand and sea, since I read most of it at the beach (the first read through anyway). A worn Spanish receipt adds a nice touch – apparently I ate a croissant while I was reading.
